Pharmacology & Therapeutics is a preclinical subject which is taught for 300 hrs to3rd Year MBBS students. The method of teaching has both vertical and horizontal integration in the form lectures, tutorials, practicals on lab animals. The knowledge of systemic pharmacology is applied in the clinics by the examination of patient having same systemic disease.

The subject specialists are invited to have interaction with students on completion of drugs related to specialty. A visit to the pharmaceutical firm is arranged at the end of academic session to have knowledge about the quality control and good manufacturing practices
